Keno was known as the White Pigeon Game, because the winning numbers were delivered by pigeons from bigger municipalities to the lesser villages. The lotto ‘Keno’ was imported to the United States in the 1800s by Chinese immigrants who came to the States to jobs. In those times, Keno used 120 numbers.

Today, Keno is normally played with eighty numbers in just about all of American based casinos as well as online casinos. Keno is commonly loved today because of the relaxed nature of betting the game and the simple fact that there are little skills needed to enjoy Keno. Regardless of the fact that the chances of succeeding are horrible, there is always the possibility that you will hit quite big with a tiny gaming investment.

Keno is enjoyed with eighty numbers and twenty numbers are drawn each round. Enthusiasts of Keno can pick from two to ten numbers and gamble on them, whatever amount they are able to. The pay out of Keno is according to the wagers made and the matching of numbers.

Keno has grown in popularity in the US since the close of the 1800’s when the Chinese characters were changed with more familiar, US numbers. Lotteries were not covered under the legalization of gambling in the state of Nevada in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ employing the idea that the numbers are horses and you are looking for your horses to come in. When a law passed that levied a tax on off track wagering, casinos swiftly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
