Keno Methods That Win
It might not often be deemed the most lucrative game in the realm of betting, but keno has millions of keen supporters. And why not? It’s a constantly exciting lotto-esque game that’s a snap to learn, abundantly available in tons of assorted formats, and one that may return millions for those who learn its uncounted subtle nuances. But let’s start with the basics here.
When describing keno to beginners, some wagering experts compare it to bingo. This is at least partly apt, in that each game is generally numerical. But to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to misunderstand the innumerable unique aspect that make keno so compelling. Not like bingo, keno enthusiasts have the freedom to pick the numbers for each and every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the player is furnished with an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your desired numbers with a good oldpen like you had when you were in school.
Once you have selected your numbers, carry the card back to the clerk at the keno stand. The clerk will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will get exactly $.00 for your winning card.
OK, so there you have strategy numero uno: always make sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s advance to something a bit more useful, shall we?
Once you’ve checked off your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action happen on a monitor. That’s where the winning numbers show up in lights. If you selected winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to dally, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, as a new keno game will probably begin within a few minutes.
Strategy number two: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!
Assuming you do not trust yourself to make that five-minute margin every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to 20 slips. When the maximum amount of keno games (the same as the number of tickets) is completed, you are then able to get off your numb rump and go retrieve your winnings.
Still another opportunity is recognized as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which commonly lets you make number selection for 30 games or more. Hell, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to fret about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
And now you have learned several required methods for winning keno. If you are a good user, they may seem to be incredibly obvious. But it won’t hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a novice user, every little bit of information will help make your keno playing time more fun.
